Product Description

Rule #1: Never get involved with someone who won't be there for you when the sun comes up.

Once bitten, twice shy, and sexy PI Jackie Morrisey wasn't going there again. Vincent Argeneau may be the hottest guy she's ever met, living or dead, but she's here to stop a killer from turning this vampire into dust, not to jump into bed with him.

Rule #2: Never kiss a vampire . . . it can be a pain in the neck.

Okay, so Vincent's had four hundred years to perfect his kissing skills, and he does look rather tempting when he runs around the house shirtless. He's also charming, protective . . . did we mention he can kiss? Jackie needs to be on her guard, or else she'll have to come up with a new rule: If you're going to fall in love with a vampire, make sure it's a bite to remember.

Great, as usual!
5 Stars
Lyndsay Sands has been one of my favorite authors for years. Her books are usually light and funny and very easy reads to help you releax. This newest edition was a surprise as was Vampire interrupted. I like that she's gone from her 'fluff' to stories that make you think and wonder a bit. I like a little suspense in the vampire stories I read. I also like the 'fluff' so I hope she doesn't totally give up on the funnier aspects on what it can be like to be an 'immortal'.

If you're looking for great romance and great sex with a bit of suspense mixed in, this book is for you.

I loved this book, I ordered the series, with the exception of the last two books which i already owned. I've read these books plenty of times since I got them and I can't put them down. A must read for vampire lovers, or should I say Immortal lovers? heh.

Can Jackie and Vincent stay alive long enough to find romance?
4 Stars
Vincent Argeneau is a 400 year old vampire who may be getting a bit tired of life. That doesn't mean he wishes for his aunt Marguerite coming for a visit to mother him and try to fix him up with the lifemate he has yet to find. Vincent has problems enough. His entertainment production company has been plagued by so much bad luck and accidents he's now certain there is a saboteur at work. His cousin Bastien has sent him a PI he's worked with.

Jackie Morrissey is a no-nonsense PI. She's not thrilled that Vincent slams the door in her face while on the phone with his cousin, astounded that she's a woman and worse, human. She's worked with vampires before, although she doesn't trust them, not after an incident when she was young and one took advantage of her in order to get to her father, who founded the detective agency. She's attracted to Vincent, but doesn't want to trust him... or even like him. But the saboteur's tricks are getting more extreme--leading up to murder, and she's not going to let anything get in the way of solving the case and keeping her client safe, even though he's a vampire and she's a mere human.

Jackie is a feisty heroine, smart and sensible. Vincent is sweet and caring... a guy who shouldn't have an enemy who wants to destroy everything he cares about. The supporting characters are all interesting to the point that they could all carry off their own books. There is Jackie's partner, Tiny, a bear of a man who loves cooking. Marguerite is lovely, calm and wise. And then there is a contingent of Italian vampires who are all fabulous.

The mystery is suspenseful and threatening, and not quite as easy to solve as the author leads you to believe. And the threats and the action scenes are all good.

The romance is sweet and the sex scenes steamy.

There's no new territory explored here, but then, it's a vampire romance, so as long as the required elements are enjoyable, it's a success, and this book does not fail.
