Product Description

Being a vampire is a life-or-death situation. When I was first turned, I had only my survival to worry about. Now I'm locked in a battle for the existence of the entire human race -- and the cards are definitely stacked against me.

The Voluntary Vampire Extinction Movement headquarters are destroyed, and their pet horror, the Oracle, is on the loose. She'll stop at nothing to turn the world into a vampire's paradise, even if it means helping the Soul Eater become a god and harnessing his power for her own evil ends.

An ancient vampire, a blood-sucking near deity and oh, yeah, my presently human former sire thrown into the mix. I say bring it on. May the best monster win.

A Crafty Author
4 Stars
The third instalment in the "Blood Ties" series begins with a creepy prologue, then fades into melodrama before the real action begins. Carrie, Nathan, Cyrus, Max and Bella find themselves battling the Soul Eater and the Oracle...as well as, oftentimes, each other. Plenty of vomit and severed digits to satisfy gore fans, witticisms to appease the humorous and alternate history for those not impressed with the real world. It does get a bit incredulous with an invisibility spell, and knowing each other's thoughts through blood ties, but is redeemed by the new ideas the crafty author brings to the genre.

ups and downs
4 Stars
Okay, so just finished book 3, and there were some really exciting bits. They were totally predictable, after the author revealed it. You were like I should have seen that coming, why didn't I?

Of course, Carrie's love triangle was getting really boring... but the plot/action twists were really enough to drive the story. So, I enjoyed this book very much.

One thing that really bugged me about this book was the editing. I think there were a lot of inconsistences. I keep reading reference to "years" when only "months" have passed. That threw me too much.

I read this book in one day. That should be a clue. =)
Im really happy with the way some characters have come along. Some not so much. Though I will say this book was predictable in alot of parts. Well the Max an Bella parts (Bella, lol, why cant I get Twilight outta my head??!!) Still a good read.
