Product Description
Three signs that something is very different with your mew man:
1. He sleeps all day . . . which would be annoying except he's so attentive at night.
2. He's attacked by sword-wielding assailants, yet insists he can handle it on his own.
3. He never seems to age.
Heather Westfield has always lived a quiet life, but that all changes when she helps a very handsome, very mysterious stranger. There's something not quite right about Jean-Luc, but still, she's never been with a man so charming, so attractive . . . so wonderful. Now if only a murderous villain wasn't after them, they might get their happily-ever-after.

I heard about this author on a True Blood web site. I've read the whole series and enjoyed them all. Nothing deep just a fun read!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this book
4 Stars
I've been a fan of Kerrelyn Sparks for awhile now. I love this series of vampire novels. They are sexy, funny, romantic and everything else all rolled into one book. The Undead Next Door has been my favorite so far. The characters are fantastic, the humor had me literally laughing out loud and I absolutely love Jean-Luc. (Of course, who wouldn't?) These books are great because they are not just cheesy romance novels. They have mysteries, history lessons and you really get drawn into these people's lives. I love how they are all tied together and know each other and you get to catch up with your favorite vamp couples throughout each book. I highly recommend these books and especially this one. They are fantastically written and so hard to put down!

5 stars for this series

The Undead Next Door is a perfect addition to this series. I do not give 5 stars lightly, however this book had everything...
Though the story line of Kerrelyn Sparks Love at Stake series carries similarities with a lot of other vamp romances, she really knows how to shake things up.
The Undead Next Door is full of lovable characters. The main characters, Jean-Luc and Heather are so well developed by the author the love connection between them is awe inspiring. Ms Sparks did such an excellent job with secondary characters in previous books they enhanced Jean-Luc and Heather rather than taking anything away. And best of all, I lost count how many times I laughed out loud at the humor she created.
If you love the dreamy hero falls for the regular girl kind of story this is definately for you. I highly recommend this book.

Favorite of the series
5 Stars
Although everytime I read on of the books from the Love at Stake seres I eat it up, this one, I definately couldn't put down. Jean-Luc is the one character in the series that stands out the most to me out of all the books. His character is so strong, witty, charming and sweet at the same time that you can't help but fall for the guy just like Heather does.
The book starts out with Jean-Luc, a famous fashion designer, moving from Paris to a very small town in Texas. He's EXTREMELY unhappy about it because since he's a vamp and doesn't age, people in Paris have caught on to him not aging. So for his, and every other vamps safety, he moves to Texas and opens a store for his clothes. But the store is just a cover. Because in only weeks, he plans to close it and disappear under the home he's built for himself in the basement for the next 25 years until he can return to the fashion world posing as his son. The night of the store opening, he sees Heather. He falls head over heels for her and her 4 year old daughter. But they're all in danger from another vamp who threatens to kill Jean-Luc and Heather.
Jean-Luc struggles with his love for Heather, and she does the same. He feels guilty for having to tell her lies to keep his secret of being a vamp safe. And he wants so badly to tell her the truth, but fears she will reject him. And Heather's catching on to the strange things. She questions his honesty because she wants to trust him, but sometimes feels she can't.
Overall, it's a great book in the series. And if you do read the books out of order (like I did...) you don't get lost. You may question something, but you pick up on it later. And when you do finish all of the series, you quickly understand everything.
