Good but not great

I love Gena Showalter and am eagerly awaiting the next installment in the Lords of the Underworld series, I bought this book to tide me over and was somewhat disappointed.

A good followup story for the world of Atlantis
4 Stars
This is the latest installment of Showalter's series of Atlantis. It can be read alone but I recommend getting the other books first.
On the plus side: entertaining plot to set the heroes of the book as Survivors on a deserted island. The characters are interesting and funny. The heroine is a strong woman (amazon) very likable.
On the minus side: I got tired really quickly of hearing about the hero's perfect previous mate (dead for 300 years) and his guilt and refusal to move on. But that's me, I don't like heros who keep hesitating about the heroine.
Overall not my favorite of the series, but I don't regret reading it, it was entertaining and the stories with the secondary characters were very good.
