Absolutely Fantastic!!!!

This is by far the best of the Dark-Hunter world that Sherilyn Kenyon has created. What Ms. Kenyon has created in this book is absolute genius. I was taken aback at what a cruel life Acheron led. Unspeakable pain and tourture. Just when I thought it couldn't get any worse for him I turned the page and was floored yet again. I cringed in fear and cried for his pain.

The book was very well written and I really liked the way it was broken out and flowed. A LOT of questions were answered here. We finally found out what was in the backpack!!!!!! I also really liked the the twist w/Tory. I didn't see that one coming. I actually had to re read the paragraph that introduced her in the book a few times before I realized who she was.

In the end, I rejoiced along w/Ash's friends for his happiness. This was one hell of a journey. The book was well written and the characters well developed. The message came through loud and clear. This is one book I can see myself reading again!

Disappointed but expected it

I read this book because it was written by SK but I knew before I began that I would be disappointed.

I didn't think he was the Ash of the other books but that was expected by me. Everytime an author finally writes a book about a character that is long awaited such as this was, it can be a let down. Every reader has an idea in their heads of who the love of his life should be and how she will act and most of the time they are disappointed by the author's plan.

I did not read the first half of the book because I couldn't. I found it just too much to get through. The torture he suffered did make the man who he is but I thought there was way too much for us to endure.

All in all the book (the last half anyway) was a decent story. It left some questions still on what Arti will do next. And can he save anymore Dark-Hunters now that he won't be bartering himself for them.

Keep writing SK but in hindsight maybe Ash should have stayed a mystery man or God...

I know that some people won't agree with my review, but I loved this book. SK actually gives you the background about Acheron that none of us knew and was wondering about. Yes the first half of the book was a hard read but, it was only because in today's society we would not let this happen and if it did we would go after the people who commited such atrocious crimes.

I actually liked the heroine she is not who or what you thought Ash would end up with but she compliments him and his personality. I can see why he fell in love with her, she didn't ask anything of him and even though she thought he was sexy she didn't act on her feelings so soon.

I loved this book and I am looking forward to what SK dishes out next. I'm really interested with how things are going to go now especially with how are the Dark-Hunters going to get their HEA's now.

I know that as readers we want what we want but, the author has to be true to what they see in their heads and how they see their characters evolving. There are plenty of books that I didn't like but, I also understand that you can't please everyone.

Cannot put into words how wonderful 'Acheron' is, a true joy to read. Kept me wanting more and satisfy the desire for a happy ending. I enjoyed being able to escape from reality in the pages of suspense and romance.

If anyone was ever a die hard Dark Hunter fan it's me. I can't believe that any one of you who gave this below a 5 star are truly fans of the series. This is what we have all been waiting for. I mean she finally gave us the secrets we have all wanted to know. I for one laughed, cried, found myself wanting to mortally wound anyone who ever hurt him..LOL
Acheron is by far my fav...( but I love them all )I think Sherrilyn did an amazing job with this story..I am so happy he has found his special someone and can't wait to read more about their adventures and of course the rest of the Dark Hunters, Dream Hunters, Were Hunters..and so on..
