Product Description

Acclaimed author Kresley Cole introduces a sizzling new series with this tale of a fierce werewolf and a bewitching vampire -- unlikely soul mates whose passion will test the boundaries of life and death.

A mythic warrior who'll stop at nothing to possess her . . .

After enduring years of torture from the vampire horde, Lachlain MacRieve, leader of the Lykae Clan, is enraged to find the predestined mate he's waited millennia for is a vampire. Or partly one. This Emmaline is a small, ethereal half Valkyrie/half vampire, who somehow begins to soothe the fury burning within him.

A vampire captured by her wildest fantasy . . .

Sheltered Emmaline Troy finally sets out to uncover the truth about her deceased parents -- until a powerful Lykae claims her as his mate and forces her back to his ancestral Scottish castle. There, her fear of the Lykae -- and their notorious dark desires -- ebbs as he begins a slow, wicked seduction to sate her own dark cravings.

An all-consuming desire . . .

Yet when an ancient evil from her past resurfaces, will their desire deepen into a love that can bring a proud warrior to his knees and turn a gentle beauty into the fighter she was born to be?

Includes an excerpt from Kresley Cole's next romance novel, No Rest for the Wicked.

Leader of the werewolf clan, Lachlain MacRieve, has been kept a prisoner in the catacombs below Paris by the vampires. When he caught sent of his true mate, it released the beast which gave him the strength to break free. He'd been searching so long for her and now he was so close.

Emmaline Troy, part vampire and part fae, was in Paris to find out more about her parents. She knew who her mother was, but her father was nameless. She'd been sheltered all her life and wasn't prepared to meet Lachlain, who was handsome, yes, but seriously dangerous. He had tendencies of explosive anger and in the blink of an eye, could rip a room to pieces.

On a romantic level, this was a heavenly read. I found some parts the book hard to believe, but that didn't extinguish my interest level. Another thing is I think if the reference (From the Book of Lore) had been place in front of the book, I'd have understood more at the beginning. But again, this didn't slow my reading down one bit. I can see why this is a popular series and I'll be reading more very soon!

Great novel, I liked how it started and focused on the main couple, not going to other stupid topics, like many other paranormal novels~

However what really made me like this story was lachlain, i like his nature, the way he thinks. ^_^

as for emma, she was emotional, and had a unique personality, which made for a more intresting story :)

I'm very thankful to the friend that recommended this story to me~<3

Amazing...hot...wow!
5 Stars
I am a picky reader and Kresley Cole was recommended to me by one of my favorite authors...and this series did not disappoint. The characters are sexy and funny and I couldn't wait to get to the next book. It is best to read the series in order so that you understand or are pleasantly surprised when the characters pop up to say "hi".

Hooked on Immortals After Dark
5 Stars
This was the first IAD book that I read--and I was blown away. Fabulous characters. Great twisting plot. This story definitely puts a new spin on paranormal romance. The hero was dark, and he struggled with his growing feelings for the heroine. The action was non-stop, and I couldn't put the book down. I like werewolf heroes, but Cole took her hero to a whole new level. And pairing him with a half-vamp heroine...so good! Definitely recommend this book.
